My Story: A Path of Health and Discovery

At the age of 23, after years of intense gym training, I began to experience constant back pain. Over-exercising and poor training technique led me to suffer injuries that, at the time, I did not know how to handle. It was then that I began to research manual therapies. This search led me to study and train in various therapeutic massage techniques, such as chiromassage, sports massage, posturology, among others. As I continued learning more about the human body, I gained a better understanding of not only the causes of my own pain, but also the ways in which the body and mind are connected. This experience allowed me to alleviate my physical problems and gain a deeper understanding of how to treat and prevent injuries. However, all this knowledge still didn't fit together, I felt like I was missing something else and it wasn't until I was 30 that I really began to face a real health crisis. After a period marked by extreme stress, overwork and unhealthy lifestyle habits, my body began to deteriorate internally. I began to feel depressed and had low energy, had repeated throat infections, skin problems and excess gas. However, it was not until years later that I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis with an stomach infection, accompanied for a long period by nausea, digestive discomfort and continually experienced physical pain so intense that it was almost impossible for me to move easily, despite putting into practice everything I had learned. This stage of my life forced me to stop completely. It was a turning point, as I realized that something deeper was affecting my health. It was at that moment when I discovered Psychoneuroimmunology, a discipline that studies the interaction between the mind, the nervous system and the immune system. This allowed me to see the direct connection between my emotional problems, my non-functional lifestyle habits, my poor and toxic diet, stress, and the physical disorders I was experiencing. This discipline offered me a new perspective and that's where everything started to make sense. Psychoneuroimmunology helped me understand how my daily thoughts, emotions, and behaviors were influencing my physical health. I learned to restore balance between my body and mind, and my well-being began to improve noticeably. It was this personal experience that inspired me to delve even deeper into Psychoneuroimmunology and apply it in my professional practice to help other people heal in a holistic way. Today my mission is to use everything I have learned to accompany others in their own healing process. I understand what it means to go through health difficulties and my experience has given me the necessary tools to guide those who seek to improve their physical and emotional well-being. My approach is always holistic, helping each person find the balance they need to live a healthier and fuller life.
